Accomodations - Bahia Resort HotelThe 2011 Transport Task Force Workshop Meeting will be held at the Bahia Hotel in San Diego, California USA. TTF 2011 has obtained a limited block of discounted rooms for the Meeting. The discounted rate is subject to availability. When making reservations be sure to mention the conference "ttf2011" in order to get the discounted rate ($125). The Bahia Hotel offers many other guest services. Please refer to their web site http://www.bahiahotel.com/ for additional information. Reservation Procedures Method of Reservations: There are two methods for making reservations. Individual Reservations – Each attendee is responsible for making their own guestroom reservations by using our toll-free phone number (below) or https://reservations.ihotelier.com/onescreen.cfm?hotelid=6800 For either method, please indicate you will be attending the TTF meeting. Participants are strongly advised to make their reservation as soon as possible as there are a limited number of rooms at the special rate as April/May are busy months for the San Diego area. Check in Time: 4:00 P.M. Check-out Time: 12:00 Noon Other Considerations Parking: Parking is complimentary to all Hotel guests and is on a first-come, first-serve basis. For conference attendees not staying at the Hotel, public parking can be found on Gleason Road adjacent to the hotel. Smoking Restrictions: Effective January 1, 1995, smoking in meeting and banquet rooms is prohibited by California State Law. High-Speed Internet Lines: High-speed are accessible via computer in our Business Center. Hotel Facilities and Services Guest Services/Concierge: The Bahia Hotel Guest Service Department is open daily from 8:00 A.M. - 11:00 P.M. This is the location for mail drop, taxi transportation, storage of luggage and general information. The Bahia Hotel Concierge staff can assist you with scheduling tours, tee times, dining reservations, car rentals, charter transportation, massages, etc. Call 858-539-7630. Business Center: Open daily from 7:00A.M. – 9:00P.M. for faxing, copies, typing, computer services, transparencies, and Internet access. Voice Mail: Guests may receive messages via the in-room voice mail system. Café Bahia: The Mediterranean-inspired Café Bahia is nestled in our tropical paradise offering Southern California cuisine. The Café serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a family-friendly atmosphere, and with San Diego’s year-round perfect weather, you have the option of dining al fresco on our spacious heated patio, as well as indoor seating in our contemporary restaurant. We offer a wide selection of choices throughout the day, from traditional morning fare... to luncheon salads, sandwiches, and pizzas, to our exceptional evening cuisine ranging from grilled fresh local seafood, prime steaks, and our chef’s signature entrees. Resort Watersports: Sailboards, catamarans, pedal boats, kayaks, bicycles, roller blades and more. Offers rentals and lessons! Tennis with a Pro: The Bahia Resort Hotel features two lighted tennis courts for guest use. Professional lessons and clinics are available. For court reservations contact the concierge. Fitness Center, Pool and Spa: Health and fitness facilities are complimentary to Hotel guests. A junior Olympic size, heated outdoor pool and oversized whirlpool spa is surrounded by relaxing lounge chairs. Bar service is set up on holidays and throughout the summer. Room service is always available poolside. Bahia Belle: When you’re really in the mood to kick up your heels, you can board The Bahia Belle for an evening cruise on Mission Bay which features beverage service, live entertainment, and dancing. Public cruises are every Friday and Saturday night of the year except December. In June, it runs every Wednesday – Sunday night and in July and August, the Bahia Belle cruises nightly. The Bahia Belle departs at 6:30 P.M. and every hour on the ½ hour until 12:30 A.M. Admission is complimentary for hotel guests. Airport Transportation
A taxicab service from the Airport to the Bahia Resort Hotel will range from $22 to $27 based on the cab service. Yellow Cab: 619-234-6161 Cloud 9 Shuttle: $13.00 per person one-way Preferred Car Rentals: If you need a rental car, there are several car rental reservation boards located near the baggage claim areas of Terminals 1 and 2. All car rental agencies are off-site and do not have counters inside the terminal facilities. Car rental shuttles — boarded at the Transportation Plazas — will take you to their rental locations. Alamo Rent-A-Car : 800-777-5500 Driving Directions: Follow the signs from the airport to I-5 NORTH. Take the I-8 WEST BEACHES exit to the SPORTS ARENA/WEST MISSION BAY DRIVE exit. At the signal, turn right and go over the bridge. After the bridge, you will see signs that point to WEST MISSION BAY DRIVE. Follow the sign which will put you up, onto and over the bridge. You will then be on WEST MISSION BAY DRIVE heading west. Continue to the 2nd stoplight, which is Gleason Road. We are on the corner of West Mission Bay Drive and Gleason Road and our sign is clearly visible. Make a right at the light and then turn immediately into the property.
